Terms of Use — Loa

Acceptance of the terms

By using the app you agree to these Terms of Use and to Loa’s Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use it.

These terms apply to the app "Loa — Leia, Ouça e Anote" (package com.islogicdev.reader), currently under review for distribution via Google Play. The islogicdev site has its own terms, available on the Terms page.

Description of the service

Loa is a local-first tool to import, organize, read, listen to and annotate user-provided documents. An account and online features are optional.

islogicdev does not provide, sell or distribute books or third-party files; content is always provided by you.

Free and Loa Pro plans

• Free: unlimited local documents; text-based PDF, DOCX, EPUB and TXT; reading and system TTS; notes, bookmarks, search, categories, progress, sleep timer and fonts; local use with no ads.
• Loa Pro: everything in Free, plus selected cloud backup up to 1 GB total and 50 MB per file, cross-device sync, language/voice per document, sharing of notes and excerpts, and Pro themes.
• Cloud backup requires an authenticated account, connectivity and an eligible file. Loa Pro is not unlimited storage.

User content and technical license

You retain ownership of documents and notes you import or create and are responsible for having the right to use them.

When you enable backup or sync, you grant islogicdev and its processors a limited, non-exclusive and temporary licence to host, copy, transmit and process that content only as needed to provide, secure and maintain the service. This licence ends when the content or account is deleted, subject to legal retention and limited residual copies.

Prohibited uses

It is forbidden to use the app to:

• Violate copyright or intellectual property rights.
• Distribute pirated or unlawfully obtained content.
• Store or share illegal material.
• Circumvent technical or rights protections.
• Attempt to access accounts, data or areas of the service that are not yours.

Breaking these rules may lead to suspension or termination of the account, without prejudice to applicable legal measures.

Account

• Creating an account is optional; the app works without one.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity on your account.
• Tell us immediately at islogicdev@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
• You can delete your account at any time, as described on the Account and Data Deletion page.

Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

• Loa Pro is offered as monthly and annual auto-renewing plans. Google Play shows the total price, currency, period and applicable taxes before confirmation.
• Billing occurs at the beginning of each cycle until cancellation. Manage or cancel through Google Play’s Subscription Center; uninstalling the app or deleting the account does not cancel a subscription.
• After cancellation, Pro normally remains available through the paid period. Refunds and immediate cancellation follow Google Play policy and applicable law.
• Payment failure, grace period, account hold or expiry may limit Pro features. Eligible purchases can be restored in the app.
• Material price or benefit changes will follow notices and consent required by Google Play and applicable law.

Backup, availability and changes

Backup and sync depend on internet access, third-party services and technical limits. Keep important original files; Loa backup should not be your only copy.

We may perform maintenance, address abuse and evolve features. We will not deceptively reduce the subscription’s recurring value. Material changes or discontinuation of an online feature will be announced with reasonable notice where possible, while preserving local access.

Intellectual property

The app, its brands, interfaces and code belong to islogicdev or its licensors. The license of use is personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable. The documents and notes you import or create remain yours.

Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". We do our best to make it work well, but total absence of failures or uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. Keep copies of original files you consider important.

To the extent permitted by law, islogicdev is not liable for damages arising from use, especially those related to content imported by the user.

Changes

The app and these terms may change over time. Relevant changes will be reflected on this page, with the date at the top revised. Continued use indicates agreement with the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. In consumer relations, disputes will be resolved in the courts of the user’s domicile.
